Service Technician – Pest Control

Job Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for providing pest control services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The role includes conducting site inspections, identifying pest infestations, applying pest control treatments, and ensuring excellent customer service while complying with company procedures, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to identify pest infestations and assess treatment requirements.
• Perform pest control treatments, including spraying, baiting, fogging, trapping, and other approved control methods.
• Safely mix, handle, and apply pesticides and chemicals in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.
• Install, monitor, and maintain pest control devices and equipment.
• Explain treatment procedures, safety precautions, and preventive measures to customers.
• Prepare accurate service reports, treatment records, and recommendations after each service visit.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests.
• Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, chemicals, and service vehicle in good condition.
• Follow scheduled service routes and ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
• Observe and comply with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Report any unusual pest activity, customer concerns, or safety issues to the Supervisor.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through professional and courteous service.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, or Technical/Vocational graduate. College level is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience in pest control, field service, maintenance, or a related technical service role is preferred.
• With excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction Code B/B2 or equivalent).
• Willing to drive a company vehicle and travel to various client sites.
• Physically fit and willing to work in confined spaces, outdoor environments, and varying weather conditions.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
• Knowledge of pest control techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures is an advantage.
• Possession of pest control certification or relevant training is an advantage.
