Truck Driver

Job Summary

The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, raw materials, and finished products to designated delivery locations. The role includes conducting vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks to transport goods to customers, suppliers, warehouses, and other designated locations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo properly to prevent damage during transport.
• Verify delivery documents, invoices, and cargo against shipping manifests before departure and upon delivery.
• Deliver goods on schedule while following assigned routes and delivery instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, trip logs, and vehicle inspections.
• Observe and comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or delays to the Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and concerns.
• Assist in loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
• Ensure the security of cargo during transport and while the vehicle is parked.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers during pickups and deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transport Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Senior High School Graduate; vocational training is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Truck Driver, preferably in logistics, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Must possess a valid Professional Driver's License with the appropriate restriction code or license classification for the assigned truck.
• Clean driving record with a strong commitment to road safety.
• Familiar with road networks, traffic regulations, and defensive driving practices.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and minor troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling cargo when required.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
