Truck Helper

Job Summary

The Truck Helper assists the Truck Driver in the safe, timely, and efficient loading, unloading, and delivery of goods. The role is responsible for ensuring that cargo is properly handled, delivery documents are verified, and customer deliveries are completed accurately while maintaining company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Truck Driver in loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customers and designated locations.
• Ensure that cargo is properly arranged, secured, and protected to prevent damage during transport.
• Verify the quantity and condition of items before loading and upon delivery.
• Assist in checking delivery receipts, invoices, and other transport documents.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and cargo area.
• Guide the driver during vehicle maneuvering, parking, and reversing to ensure safety.
• Assist customers with unloading and proper handling of delivered products when required.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the Truck Driver or Supervisor immediately.
• Follow company safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques when handling materials.
• Assist in the collection and return of delivery documents after each trip.
• Perform general warehouse or logistics support duties when not assigned to deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transport Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Senior High School Graduate.
• Experience in delivery, warehousing, logistics, or material handling is an advantage but not required.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy loads.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to travel to various delivery locations.
• Honest, reliable, and hardworking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
