This July, tipón has been dedicated to promoting the well-being of its members through a variety of health and safety programs under the Health and Safety Department (HSD). These initiatives reflect our commitment to a holistic approach to member wellness, ensuring our team is not only productive but also healthy, safe, and supported.
Health and Safety Programs
Several health-focused activities were conducted across our projects and offices:
- Blood Glucose and Blood Pressure Monitoring: On July 29, random blood glucose testing was conducted at Marsman Drysdale. Nurse Jan Vincent Lawas also conducted blood pressure monitoring from July 14-18, 2025, at Dole Stanfilco Farm in Maragusan. These activities aimed to detect early signs of potential health risks and provide health teachings on proper management and lifestyle changes.
- Cholinesterase Testing: From July 8-9, 2025, a cholinesterase test was administered to 251 chemical handlers at Dole Stanfilco Kidapawan to monitor for pesticide exposure and ensure workplace safety.
- Comprehensive Health and Wellness Program: On July 25, a comprehensive program was held at Patio Suites Abreeza in Davao City for 246 members. The event provided free blood glucose and blood pressure testing, medical consultations, eye check-ups with free reading glasses, vitamins, and fruits.
- Fire Drill and Seminar: A fire drill and seminar were conducted on July 25 at the South Mindanao Region Office. The program aimed to enhance employees' knowledge and preparedness for fire emergencies and promote awareness of fire hazards.
Family Welfare Program
- On July 28, the Family Welfare Program (FWP) alignment was successfully conducted in Darong, Sta. Cruz. This initiative aims to integrate family-oriented policies into our health and safety programs, promoting the overall well-being of our members and their families. By fostering a healthy balance between work and family responsibilities, we aim to enhance both productivity and morale.
Professional Development and Training
- BOSH Training: A five-day Bosh Training for Safety Officer 2 was conducted from June 30 to July 4, 2025, in Davao City. The training equipped 16 non-revenue members with the knowledge and skills to perform their duties as Safety Officers, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health standards.
