Construction Group is one of Asiapro’s businesses that provides end-to-end construction services to its clients. Construction group has been involved in civil works, fit-outs which strengthened our project management and execution. We are the first cooperative in the Philippines to have acquired the Philippines Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) license. This PCAB license aims to ensure safety of the public and that only qualified and reliable contractors are allowed to undertake construction in the country.
This group is a big contributor to Asiapro’s growth in terms of member count that is already around 20,500 members nationwide. Of course, this would not be at all possible without the leadership of Edeward Miano. After 15 years of working with Zuellig Pharma, Ed decided to work with Asiapro where he managed six business units, handling a diverse client portfolio from construction, manufacturing, retail and merchandising. Now, with the creation of different business platforms in the cooperative, Ed put his focus in the construction industry which he intends to expand through engaging in sub-contracting works.
In order to jointly provide quality service and enhance the skills of its members, the Construction Group with the help of its client, conducted the Gawad Husay where they trained the members based on their skills and assessed them afterwards. This aimed to give the members the chance to show their skills in scaffolding erection, carpentry, masonry, sealant application, tile setting, electrical installation and maintenance, and shielded metal arc wielding. Those who were able to complete the assessment were given recognition and awards by the cooperative. In hindsight, this does not only help the members but the clients as well in delivering quality service to them and of course, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by the members.
Truly, if we put our members first, it will create a domino effect that will be beneficial to the cooperative, the members, and the clients all the more.
This is why through the Construction Group, Asiapro continues to provide meaningful and fulfilled lives with its members.
