President and General Manager Engr. Michael Gonzalez recently showcased his support for our community's talent by purchasing a remarkable three-piece painting created by Kaamulan member and artist, Michelle Batomalaque.

The artwork, beautifully titled "TEBERAN HU NAPUEN" SERIES 2 (Source/Vessel of Origin), is a unique abstract piece crafted using soil. It seeks to depict the rich traditions and culture of the Lumad people in Bukidnon. A prominent feature of the painting is the banga (clay jar), which represents Impasugong, widely known as the Tribal Capital of Bukidnon.

Through her art, Michelle honors the seven Lumad tribes of Bukidnon—the Bukidnon, Higaonon, Manobo, Matigsalug, Talaandig, Tigwahanon, and Umayamnon. Her work highlights their harmonious way of life, which is celebrated annually during the Kaamulan Festival. The painting serves as a visual tribute to their deeply rooted values of kindness, sharing, respect for nature, and a strong sense of community where no one is left behind.
